Some changes

June 1, 2010

Other things that have been going on lately, this last week being chalk-full of happenings, my sweet Grandpa passed away and is now with his sweetheart.  It’s always hard and sad when someone you’re close to moves on, but I think the family all felt comforted and knew it was his time to go, and he’ll be so much happier and more comfortable, and be able to do all the things he couldn’t before.

This past week I got for-sure diagnosed with mild asthma and inflammatory arthritis.  At 25.  Not so much the happifying news we all enjoy -but treatable, and I think we’ll be able to deal with it all right, I’m already feeling a lot better with the first and a little better with the latter.

And last but certainly not least, our plumbing decided to act up again!  Hooray!  This time we had the extreme pleasure of being subjected to an overflowing toilet and sewage coming up in the bathtub. What fun!  Our duplex-mate had the same happenings with an additional uninvited sludge in the washroom sneaking up.  Lovely lovely duplex, we love you!  So quirky, so exciting, so fun!

Wow, what an update! Thank you for sharing all the action of the week. What a hullabaloo!
It sounds like your family was able to remember your grandpa well, and celebrate his reunion too. I send you and your family hugs.
I hope you and Andrew have a blast with the piano! That seems to lively up your evenings in a much better way than sewage eruptions. How is inflammatory arthritis treated? Thinking of you!
