The last of our first day in Egypt

It was explained, and I vaguely remember from Art History, that when the Egyptian statues have their arms at their sides and one leg forward it implies the fellow is still alive.

I had no idea that’s how dates grew on trees. Wonky!

Oh yes, and last of all, I just uploaded snippets from the e-mail I wrote to my mom about these first two days in Egypt.
