Mt. Sinai

September 5, 2010

There is a story I was remembering the other day about our adventures in Egypt that makes me laugh.  We were told to avoid drinking any of the water while in the country and we did our best to avoid anything that might have even come in contact with any of the fresh water -including fresh fruits and vegetables.  I think it might have been the first or second night we were in Egypt I went into the bathroom to brush my teeth before bed.  And that’s just it, I was brushing my teeth with the tap water running and not thinking a thing of it and then Andrew walked in and said, “Honey! What are you doing!”  My eyes opened wide as I realized what I had indeed been doing: using the tap water to brush my teeth.  I spit out as much of it as I could, but the damage was done.  Then it wasn’t two minutes later that while Andrew was brushing his teeth he totally started using the tap water too and we realized it at the same time and burst out laughing.  Luckily neither of us got sick from that little mistake.
